Cross-Flow Microfiltration and Glanbia's CFM^®
In case you were wondering, there is a difference between cross-flow microfiltration and CFM^®. CFM^® is the branded product name of Glanbia Nutritionals' whey protein isolate. CFM^® also refers to the unique process that Glanbia uses to create its WPI, which could be described as cross-flow microfiltration...kicked up a notch. Glanbia secured the rights to the CFM® acronym by being the first in the industry to use cross-flow microfiltration technology.
